Job Summary:
EOS Corp is currently searching for Laser Engineer, preferably with Optical engineering experience, to work on a multi-discipline team to lead the design and development of DE systems. Responsibilities include concept development, detailed design, analysis, integration and test, and support of transition to production efforts. Additional duties may include field testing support in the and problem resolution at various supplier locations.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Candidate will work within a multi-disciplined team, as well as:
- Work independently, with little supervision.
- Ensure proper engineering discipline is applied to all designs.
- Provide the best technical solution within cost and schedule constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, optical engineering, or related STEM degree
- A minimum of 5 years of related and applicable work experience in DE design and analysis
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited curriculum
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, LabView, Python, Zemax, SolidWorks and similar tools is preferred.
- Experience with the semiconductor lasers is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities.
- Active DoD issued security clearance.
- Technical aptitude to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- At least five years of exp
