Position Overview: As a Senior Hardware/Software Engineer at EO Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping diverse Electro-Optical and Infrared (EOIR) projects, showcasing adaptability and multifaceted engineering expertise. This position calls for an individual ready to engage deeply with a multifunctional team, driving varied EOIR systems solutions to fruition.
The selectee will be an integral member of a joint Government and contractor team that operates in a very dynamic environment. The Space Domain Awareness Programs deliver state-of-the-art Electro-Optical and Infrared (EOIR) solutions for extremely hard problems. The engineer’s duties will include general systems engineering support, requirements management, modeling, analysis, and simulation.
The successful candidate must possess at least ten (10) years of experience in developing and engineering complex systems. Proficient in management and execution of small to large scale DOD system development, acquisition, and documentation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering development of hardware and software system to meet customer requirements.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to ensure integration of the functional engineering disciplines.
- Lead the system level analysis, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure adherence to requirements.
- Develop and utilize simulations, modeling, and analytical tools to assess and refine system performance.
- Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to source high-quality components that align with project goals.
- Approve comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring clear communication and adherence to project parameters.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, particularly in systems engineering and related technologies.
Qualification Criteria:
Proficient in management and execution of small to large scale DOD system development, acquisition and documentation practices.
Required:
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in developing and engineering complex EOIR systems.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering/Scientific Discipline from an accredited four-year university, MS and PhD preferred.
- Experience in design, fabrication, and testing of ground, airborne or space-flight EOIR sensor hardware and ground processing systems
- Experience with systems engineering of advanced electro-optic (EO) and infrared (IR) sensor systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and a talent for collaborative teamwork.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring project quality and timeliness.
Desired:
- Doctorate (preferred) in Engineering/Scientific Discipline from an accredited four-year university
- Current access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs are desired.
- Experience with the Systems Engineering techniques and applications implemented on DoD and National Systems
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret to Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred).
