The ideal candidate should have experience in ISO 9001-2015 and a background demonstrating hands-on manufacturing. Experience in engineering and composite manufacturing is also highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements

  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics
  • Drive root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work in partnership with engineering, production and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and support new production introduction processes
  • Ensure compliance with material specifications, drawing requirements and process control parameters specific to composite materials and radar-dome products
  • Lead Material Review Board processes and oversee disposition of non-conforming materials and/or products
  • Support regulation, safety, and environmental compliance efforts
  • Foster a proactive, self-directed quality culture throughout the facility

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, material’s science, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience leading quality teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001-2015: implementing, conducting, auditing and managing
  • Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 5-WHy, Pareto Analysis, Control Plans and Statistical Process Control
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a composite manufacturing environment (e.g., fiberglass, carbon fiber, prepreg layup, resin infusion, curing processes)
  • Direct experience managing quality requirements for radar dome products or similar aerospace/defense components.
  • Certified ISO 9001 lead auditor and/or internal auditor
  • Familiarity with NADCAP, AS9100, or defense/aerospace quality systems
  • Working knowledge of non-destructive testing methods relevant to composite materials
  • Experience with implementation of lean manufacturing and/or six sigma methodologies
