Position Overview
Roarrrrr, Inc. is looking for a creative, motivated, and organized Social Media Intern to help grow our online presence and engage with our audience across multiple platforms. This internship is ideal for students or early-career professionals interested in nonprofit communications, digital marketing, content creation, and social impact work.
The Social Media Intern will work closely with our team to create content, manage social platforms, and support campaigns that increase awareness and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Assist with planning and scheduling posts using content calendars
- Write captions, short-form copy, and social media updates aligned with our mission and brand voice
- Design simple graphics and assist with photo/video content creation
- Monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement
- Research social media trends, hashtags, and nonprofit marketing ideas
- Help promote events, campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and community programs
- Track basic analytics and provide performance insights
Qualifications
- Passion for nonprofit work and community impact
- Strong written communication skills
- Familiarity with major social media platforms
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills are a plus (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Organized, dependable, and creative
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related studies preferred but not required
