About The Love Yourself Foundation:
The Love Yourself Foundation (LYF) is a Las Vegas, Nevada-based nonprofit that creates a bridge of healing for people, aiding them to increase self-love. By incorporating the arts, LYF creates a compassionate online and in-person platform through workshops, events, programs and digital content that encourages the healing of an individual, the community, and the planet.
Internship Role Title:
LYF Proposal/Grant Writer
The person interested in this role is ideally someone that is interested and/or passionate about the message we are putting forth as an organization. This position is best suited for a student that would like to expand their writing skills and apply it to the non-profit world. LYF is currently in a time period of organizational expansion as we can use all the help we can to get extra writing assistance when pursuing funding. This is a new role, so ideally we would like to work with someone that is self-motivated and can work well on their own, while working indirectly with the team. If you don’t have prior experience, that is ok! All we ask is that you have an attitude of learning and wanting to get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Searching for potential grants that LYF could qualify for
- Writing grant proposals
- Writing sponsorships proposals
- Assisting in creating a strategy for pursuing grants
Teaching Objectives:
- Learn how to work in a remote team environment
- Learn various organizational skills
- Learn nonprofit knowledge

This internship is part of the College of Liberal Arts Internship Program and includes the required enrollment in COLA 402, the Career and Professional Development course. COLA 402 plays a vital role in your professional growth, providing you with key skills and strategies for your career. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to test out a career or setting that you may want to pursue professionally, build your confidence, grow your skill sets, expand your network, and add valuable experience to your resume or CV. Additionally, you may have the chance to earn a scholarship! Depending on your completed credits and prior enrollment, your course plan for COLA 402 may be adjusted. COLA Internship Program Requirements:
Before hiring…
- Currently enrolled as a Liberal Arts major
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Completed 60 credits (at time of internship)
- CBRI Only: Completed at least one research methods course (at time of application)
After hiring…
- Enrollment in COLA 402
- 120 hours per semester
- Monthly surveys
