About Positively Arts:
Positively Arts utilizes the arts as a vehicle to teach social/emotional and life skills, and empower youth through artistic discovery and performance! We put less emphasis on “perfect pieces” and more emphasis on the journey of each child, making sure they develop life skills that will prepare them to be resilient leaders in this ever-changing world. Get Launched Vegas (GLV) is Positively Arts’ Annual Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) & Life Skills Concert Series that pairs aspiring young talent with current professionals in the entertainment industry. We focus on the mentorships and learning components built into an exciting 3-month competition-style learning experience. GLV shares the inspirational stories of aspiring young artists and pairs them with headliners from the Vegas Strip, Disney, and Broadway professionals to act as mentors throughout the competition process, allowing our youth to be coached by the best in the business for a one-of-a-kind learning experience that empowers youth to reach for the stars.
Internship Role Title:
Social and Emotional Learning Research Coordinator/Analyst Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Intern will help to design, track, and analyze social-emotional learning throughout the Get Launched Vegas experience – creating tasks/duties for the students, conducting surveys/interviews, and directly interacting with families on their progress.
- Correspond via email with students and parents to ensure they are staying on track with completing the SEL portion of the experience (turn in assignments on time, answer questions about the SEL model, help them submit their materials, etc.)
- Help to organize and analyze data; define learning outcomes/goals Must be able to work with Google Suite – Docs, Forms, etc.
- Must be good with data tracking and must be highly organized. Must have patience and a positive spirit with excellent communication skills.
- Must help on event days with setting up chairs, assisting performers with mindfulness techniques, and maintaining a culture of kindness and support.

This internship is part of the College of Liberal Arts Internship Program and includes the required enrollment in COLA 402, the Career and Professional Development course. COLA 402 plays a vital role in your professional growth, providing you with key skills and strategies for your career. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to test out a career or setting that you may want to pursue professionally, build your confidence, grow your skill sets, expand your network, and add valuable experience to your resume or CV. Additionally, you may have the chance to earn a scholarship! Depending on your completed credits and prior enrollment, your course plan for COLA 402 may be adjusted. Before hiring…
- Currently enrolled as a Liberal Arts major
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Completed 60 credits (at time of internship)
- CBRI Only: Completed at least one research methods course (at time of application)
After hiring…
- Enrollment in COLA 402
- 120 hours per semester
- Monthly surveys
