Client & Division Services (CDS), a department within the Division of Educational Outreach invites you to apply for our open Student Assistant – Customer Service position. The Division of Educational Outreach encompasses several departments focused on sharing the university’s expertise and resources with members of the Las Vegas community and beyond. These departments include Continuing Education, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), and Summer Term, all of which are housed at our MAB2 building. Client & Division Services supports the Division and its departments by processing courseevent registrations, providing customer service to over 30,000 clients annually, and managing the MAB2 building.
As a customer service student assistant, you will assist members of the community to learn more about our programs, process course registrations, process financial transactions, and general customer service to visitors who phone or visit the Division’s Information Desk. Occasionally you will be asked to provide classroom support by ensuring classrooms are set up for courses and events to include arranging furniture, setting up audio/visual equipment, and assisting instructors in the use of classroom equipment.
Qualified applicants will:
- Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Have at least one year of customer service/cashier experience
- Be able to lift and move items weighing a minimum of 30 lbs
- Have entry-level Microsoft Office skills
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Be team-oriented
- Have a willingness to learn new skills
We are seeking to fill a Fall 2024 semester Student Assistant Position, who will work a maximum of up to 20 hours per week between Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm scheduled around their class schedule.
