The Systems Verification Engineer Intern is responsible for performing tests to support development of new molecular diagnostic systems. This position provides the opportunity for learning in a multi-disciplinary environment, working on innovative projects, and potential growth opportunities.
This position is part of the Systems Engineering department and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA , Hybrid. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform laboratory testing in engineering or biology laboratories
- Assemble consumable or hardware components
- Analyze data and present findings to cross-functional teams
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or similar.
- General scientific lab experience required.
- Previous experience with data analysis, statistics, and programming preferred.
- Familiarity with Matlab or Minitab preferred.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Working in a regulated industry such as medical device or biotechnology
- Familiarity with Matlab, Minitab, or Python is preferred
