Duration: Up to 12 Months
Summary: The Social Media and Website Intern will develop and manage the organization’s online presence through social media platforms and official website, The internship provides valuable hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and website management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the development and implementation of social media strategies to increase organization awareness and engagement.
- Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages and mentions, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule and publish social media posts regularly using social media management tools.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics, provide insights, identify opportunities for optimization.
- Prepare reports and presentations on communication and engagement effectiveness.
- Maintain and update the organization’s website with fresh content, images, and multimedia elements.
- Initiate and collaborate with organization staff to brainstorm new ideas and campaigns to enhance online presence.
- Assist in other marketing initiatives, projects, and organization events as needed.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled (sophomore or higher) in a degree program in Digital Media, Marketing, Communication or other related fields.
- Strong interest in social media marketing, digital content creation, and website management.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms and basic understanding of social media analytics.
- Some knowledge of website management platforms (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.) a plus
- Creative thinker, self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to learn and explore.
